a desolated professor is forced to commemorate his past, when going on a road trip with his daughter in law.

while watching this film i was transported into dreamlike state,it almost felt as though time got warped. The long road trip and Edgar's dream scenes, being isolated in a space along with different people, that's when life gets interesting.

this film is filled with symbolism shown mostly through dream like scenes "flashbacks". what makes the film worth worthwhile to watch,  is the subject of the films theme, contemplating ones morality.

Would you be content with the way you lived your life ? Is the way you precieve your life how other's preciefe it , the things you could of changed if you could just be a fly on the wall, the complications of life.

The film also touches on subjects like religion and  feminism in a comical way. These subjects are mostly brought up by the passengers the two pick up along the road. this element of the film keeps us on our toes, wondering who will be joining them along the way, as well as the lessons we will learn form them.

The title of the film is to me the best description, ''wild strawberries " its sweet and bitter but filled with untamed wildly crazy dreams. and leaves you with a sens of hope for your moral being.

“I am living permanently in my dream, from which I make brief forays into reality.”

Mono no aware, the transience of Tokyo story

TOKYO STORY  Director :  Yasujirô Ozu   genre   : Drama   year : 1953  What I respect most about Ozu is that he never needed to use murder and violence to tell everything that's essential about human life -  Aki  kaurismaki   Mono no aware, the transience of Tokyo story If you are looking for an action packed film, this is not for you but if your looking for an emotional and simplistic look into morality, then this is exactly what you need.  To me Tokyo story is not a drama but rather a realistically alluring look at mortality, through the simplistic eye of the director, Yasujiro Ozu . Tokyo Story deals with every day family relationships, the film follows an old couple that visits their  children in the city, but their children have no time for them and treat them like a burden. The only real appreciation they get is from their widowed   daughter  in- la...

RELICS : MY VAGUE EXISTENCE

My own brain is to me the most unaccountable of machinery - always buzzing, humming, soaring roaring diving, and then buried in mud. And why?
